Starting a podcast was never in my plans. It wasn’t even on my life’s bingo card. But everything shifted after Jesus pulled me out of one of the darkest seasons I’ve ever known.I was in Nashville, freshly graduated, believing I was on the verge of the life I had dreamed of. Overnight, it all unraveled. I lost my independence. Depression crept in. Addiction took hold. And I faced the heartbreak of losing my dad. For five long years, my voice grew silent and my creativity faded away.But Jesus had other plans. He met me in a dream, placing sandals in my hands, a symbol of being equipped to walk in His calling (Ephesians 6:15). The irony is, I’ve never worn sandals a day in my life because of polio. Yet He used that very image to remind me that what I thought disqualified me could never disqualify His purpose.Not Made to Fit was born out of that encounter. This podcast is my offering of obedience, a space to testify of His goodness, and to remind others that what feels like the end can actually become the beginning.Behind the Intro
The animated prologue itself was also a labor of love. I created it entirely from start to finish, writing and designing each scene in LTX Studios. My depiction of Jesus was inspired by Akiane Kramarik’s world-renowned painting Prince of Peace, and bringing Him to life in motion took hours of careful writing, editing, and direction.The audio portion including the FX, layering, and music was also built by me. I gained these skills through my schooling in audio production, and every sound you hear was carefully crafted and mixed to carry the heart of the story. This intro is not only my testimony but also my creation, shaped by faith, refined by trial, and offered as the beginning of Not Made to Fit.
